KAREN KRUSE

Karen Kruse has devoted her career to preventing and solving workplace related legal issues, whether as an advisor or as an advocate. After nearly 25 years’ experience practicing management-side employment and labor law at two national law firms, in April 2016, she formed Karen Kruse Law, PLLC, where she continues to provide employers with strategic and practical counsel and advocacy on a wide array of subjects. These include respecting employees’ rights under disability and leave laws at the federal, state and local levels; avoiding discrimination and retaliation; preventing and remediating workplace harassment; maintaining lawful employee handbooks and policies; and complying with the intricacies of the sometimes‑conflicting federal, state and local wage and hour laws. When conflicts arise, Karen draws upon her substantial litigation experience, which includes defending class and collective actions, handling single‑claimant matters, and litigating non‑compete and other employment contract issues.
