JANICE CHRISTENSEN
Janice is a partner at Jellins Christensen LLP, an IP boutique law firm with offices in Silicon Valley and NY. She was formerly counsel at an AmLaw 100 law firm and a senior associate at a preeminent New York City IP law firm. Janice has over 16 years of experience providing strategic advice to biopharmaceutical and medical device companies. Janice has extensive experience as patent litigation counsel in the U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the ITC, in the fields of biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and mechanical devices. She also has experience as Federal Circuit and Second Circuit appellate counsel. Janice is also a registered patent attorney with expertise in prosecution, opinions, reexams, IPR's, Board appeals, due diligence, EP oppositions, portfolio and patent portfolio/life cycle management, FTO's, market access strategies. Janice frequently serves as transactional counsel with expertise in drafting, negotiating and enforcing a variety of commercial agreements. She has experience as regulatory counsel with expertise in market access strategies, the drug/biologic development process, FDA compliance issues, review of promotional and labeling literature. Janice has further experience as clearance counsel on copyright, trademark, right of publicity issues for marketing videos and promotional advertisements. Janice is familiar with compliance issues, including GDPR, FCPA, Stark, anti-kickback statutes. Janice is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Previously, Janice was counsel at Alston & Bird LLP (2006-2012) and an associate at Morgan & Finnegan LLP (2002-2006). Janice earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2002.
